Titled APA Continence and Women's Health Physiotherapist (Curtin University)
Professional Certificate in Conservative Management in Pelvic Organ Prolapse (Uni SA)
Professional Certificate in Pain Sciences (Uni SA)
Connie is the founder of Motion Physiotherapy, which she established in 2015 with a vision to deliver high-quality, accessible physiotherapy services to her local community.
Connie lives on a farm near Cummins, South Australia, with her husband, three children, and a collection of animals. She is deeply passionate about rural health and committed to improving health outcomes for people living in regional areas.
After completing a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of South Australia, Connie gained experience in the private hospital sector in Adelaide before working abroad in the United Kingdom and Canada. On returning to the Eyre Peninsula, she worked in a private practice in Port Lincoln before taking the leap to open her own clinic.
Connie has developed strong clinical interests in Women’s and Men’s Health, Sports Physiotherapy, and Pain Education, undertaking advanced training in all three areas. She holds a Professional Certificate in Conservative Management of Pelvic Organ Prolapse (UniSA, 2021), and a Master of Clinical Physiotherapy in Continence and Women’s Health (Curtin University, 2023).
In 2023, Connie joined the Pain Revolution—a national non-profit organisation focused on transforming the understanding and treatment of chronic pain in rural and regional Australia. As part of this work, she completed a Professional Certificate in Pain Sciences (UniSA) and is currently establishing a Local Pain Collective in the Cummins region.
Connie consults at the clinic on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time at the beach or exploring the great outdoors with her family.
Jake Skinner – Physiotherapist & Farmer
Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Uni SA)
Jake, a Cummins local, has recently returned to the region after several years living and working in Adelaide. He holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of South Australia and has developed his skills in private practice, with particular experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
While in Adelaide, Jake worked extensively with a broad range of clients and was involved in elite sports programs at the Glenelg Football Club, gaining valuable insight into high-performance rehabilitation. He enjoys treating a wide variety of injuries and conditions, with special interests in cervicogenic headaches, low back pain, and knee and ankle injuries.
Outside the clinic, Jake divides his time between physiotherapy and working on the family farm. In his spare time, you’ll find him playing footy for Ramblers or enjoying a beer with mates.
